School News

  • All 5th year students will travel today to view the facilities and educational opportunities available in UCD.
  • Transition Year students recently celebrated Loreto Literacy Day and highlighted the very welcoming school library that is now open to all students
  • It is good to see that there has been a very substantial reduction in the rate of student and staff absenteeism over the past week. The current Covid-19 wave has impacted heavily on the school and we now hope that better days lie ahead for all.
  • Leaving Certificate orals and practicals will be held in the school from Saturday, 9 April to Thursday, 14 April, inclusive. Details of arrangements and times will be emailed to 6th year students by our Examination Aide, Eoin Cummins, in the coming days.
  • 110 Transition Year students, along with 13 staff, will travel on a 4-day tour to Andalucia in Spain from next Thursday, 7 April. Information meetings have been held for both parents and students. We hope that the tour will be both enjoyable and safe for all who travel and we thank our tour organiser, Ms. Zimmermann, for her outstanding work in preparing for this trip.
