Swimming Update

The school congratulates our swimmers on their recent achievements. Over the Christmas period, some of our swimmers tackled the 10K Set Swim. They managed to navigate this difficult swim in under three hours, a tremendous achievement.

Following this, we had the Loreto Gala. Roisin Lawless succeeded in taking home the gold medal. The Leinster Qualifying Gala was another opportunity for our swimmers to shine. Hannah Fitzpatrick joined Roisin and they both recorded personal best times and took home medals.

At the Leinster Development Meet, Sophie Mahon, Ruby Middleton, Aoibheann Mc Cauley, Eve O’ Hanlon all swam. Again, all girls achieved personal best times.

Finally, between 6 – 8 March 2020, a further Qualifying Gala took place. Hannah Fitzpatrick, Roisin Lawless and Eve O’ Hanlon competed strongly. Róisín won a silver medal in the 50m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle.

The school congratulates all our swimmers on their dedication and their impressive achievements so far this year.
