Leaving Certificate Success:

We wish all Leaving Certificate 2024 students well as they settle into the next stage of their young lives. A special word of congratulations is extended to Ailbhe Cullinane, Caoimhe Tobin, Eve Donohue and Orla Banville as they obtained the maximum CAO points possible. We look forward to welcoming many of the students back for the Academic Awards Ceremony.

Parents’ Council Annual General Meeting (AGM):

The AGM of the Loreto Parents’ Council takes place on Monday, 16 September at 19.00. All parents/guardians are invited to attend and we hope to see as many new faces as possible.

Extra-Curricular Activities Update:

As we conclude our second full week in school, many sports teams have started training again. We encourage all students to get involved and represent their school in the wide array of sports provided.

Outside of sport, 1st year students are invited to Ukulele Club, organised by Ms. Dooley. It takes place each Tuesday at 1.20 in Music Room 1. There are also various opportunities to join different committees so students are asked to listen out for announcements on these. We extend our thanks to all teachers for giving their time to organise these events.

Walking Wednesdays:

Walking Wednesday was back this afternoon as a large cohort of students took advantage of the fresh air and sunshine in Min Ryan Park and enjoyed a leisurely stroll. Walking Wednesday continues next week at 13:20 from reception and all staff and students are welcome.
