NUI Maynooth Scholarships Awards 

Congratulations to former students Nadia Soltys, Ruth O’Leary & Molly Holden on their outstanding results in the 2024 Leaving Cert. They were honoured by NUI Maynooth each earning over 575 points & receiving a prestigious scholarship in recognition of their academic excellence. 

Ad Astra Academy at UCD 

Congratulations to Yvette McDonnell (Leaving Cert 2024) on her selection for the prestigious Ad Astra Academy at UCD. Yvette was awarded this esteemed scholarship for her exceptional talent in the performing arts at a ceremony held at UCD on Tuesday, 11 February. pursuits. She now joins past pupil Emma O’Leary (Leaving Cert 2023: Pictured below) in this distinguished programme. We extend our best wishes to both Yvette and Emma as they continue their studies and artistic

Multicultural Week Events 2025 

Our multicultural classes for 1st years took place on Wednesday and Thursday as part of Multicultural Week. Pictured below is 5th year Isha Amodu who visited Ms. Culleton’s 1.1 class to teach them all about her South African culture and her tribe, the Xhosa tribe. Haya Al Kasem and Isha Amodu visited first-year classes also to share their cultures. Pictured: Haya teaching Mr. Murphy’s 1.5 class about Syrian culture. 

Cricket Leinster

Yesterday we welcomed Cricket Leinster to the school as we continue to celebrate sports from around the world for Multicultural Week. The 1st and 2nd years thoroughly enjoyed their sessions on this beautiful sunny Spring day.

Music Trip 

The Music Department accompanied all Transition Year students on their annual trip to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin on Wednesday to attend the musical & Juliet. The experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all. 

Soccer 

A fantastic team performance saw Loreto defeat Templecarrig Greystones in the Division 1 Regional Semi-Final! Polly Redmond (4) | Emma McEldowney (2) | Keeva Molony (1). Next stop: the Regional Final!

Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement 

Congrats to our TY students who received their Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement certificates! This award honours success in exams, CBAs & areas like volunteering, leadership & charity work. Well done to all! 

First-Year Students of the Month – January  

Congratulations to the eighteen first-year students who have been recognised as Students of the Month for January. They were awarded a certificate and prize in acknowledgment of their exceptional behaviour, positive attitude, and commitment to creating a supportive and respectful learning environment. Well done to all on this fantastic achievement! 

Focus Ireland Bake Sale 

There will be a bake sale in aid of Focus Ireland today as part of second years CSPE Project. All donations welcomed.

Donation Nation Clothing Drive 

Class 2.5 is Hosting a Donation Nation Clothing Drive! Donate gently used clothes to support UNICEF! Drop off items at the bottom of the main stairs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before school. Your support makes a difference—thank you
