Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition:
Congratulations to Frieda Schwier in 4.3, who recently took part in the Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition in the Riverbank House Hotel. Frieda competed against twelve other girls and spoke very passionately about the topic of fast fashion and its effect on the environment. Well done Frieda!
Le Cheile:
Yesterday our first term of Le Cheile finished with an end of term party. Thank you to participants for bringing in photos and discussing them with the girls. We are already looking forward to session two in February. More details to follow.
Footloose the Musical:
We are delighted to announce that the production will run at the Opera House from Tuesday, 9 December to Thursday, 11 December.
Tickets are now available directly from the Opera House. We encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
Christmas Market
Join us at Loreto Secondary School’s Transition Year Christmas Market on 13 December from 11am until 2pm for festive gifts, tasty treats and seasonal cheer, with donations going to Wexford Women’s Refuge.
TY Spanish Trip:
Last week our Transition Year group travelled to Waterford to attend a screening of the Spanish film “Alemania” as part of the senior Spanish programme offered by the Irish Film Institute (IFI).
It was an excellent opportunity for our students to deepen their understanding of the Spanish language and culture
Senior Hockey:
Our Senior hockey team claimed a fantastic win last week against our rivals, Loreto Kilkenny.
Mollie Quirke and Ruth Thompson led the scoring with two goals each, while Jenna Delaney and Millie Stone also added to the scoresheet. The girls capped off the performance by defending their League title and winning the Senior A League once again.
