The Students’ Council continues to pursue a very active agenda. Among their current projects are the following:

• Arranging for the inclusion of eligible 5th and 6th year student on the electoral list for the forthcoming General Election

• Maintaining the twitter account on the school website

• The “New Year, New Me” initiative highlighting positive messages at the start of the year

• Updating their noticeboard in the foyer on a weekly basis

• Considering proposals emanating from the School Planning Group

Subject choice talks take place for 1st and 4th year parents and students on Monday and Tuesday, 18 and 19 January 2016. This marks the official beginning of the planning and timetabling for 2016/2017.

The 150th anniversary of the opening of the Loreto school in Wexford takes place on Saturday, 17 September 2016. A sub-committee is presently at work on a range of activities and events to mark this significant occurrence.

It is expected that a programme of events will be announced in February.
