Launch of Careers Fair:

On Monday, 18 November at 18.30, the school, in conjunction with Wexford CBS, will hold a Careers Fair. This event is open to all TY, 5th and 6th year students. Over 100 professions and colleges will be represented on the evening. Students will have the opportunity to discuss their career paths, ask questions and fine out more about the career they may be interested in. We extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who have answered our call and will be there on the night to help guide our students.

Equestrian Success:

Last Sunday, 10 November, Loreto hosted a round of Interschools competition. Co-ordinated by Mr. Grace and held in Wexford Equestrian, the event was a tremendous success with participants from many schools taking part. Many of our students performed well with novice and open teams victorious. We thank all students, parents and staff for their support of the event.

Basketball:

Congratulations to our junior team as they secured their place in the semi-final with a last minute 3-point basket from Josie Dolan to defeat Coláiste Bríde, Carnew. The seniors came out on the wrong side against the same team, slipping to a narrow defeat. We thank Ms. Byrne, Ms. Frayne and Ms. Dee for their work with the team.

Hockey:

The junior hockey team recorded an outstanding 7- 1 win over Loreto, Kilkenny, securing a place in the final. The minor A team narrowly missed out on victory, falling to a 1-0 defeat. The first year team were also defeated 1-0. Well done to all and thanks to Ms. Mullen, Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Mc Donnell for their ongoing work with all teams.

Election Count Centre:

As you may be aware, the school will be used as the Count Centre for the upcoming general election. This will take place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, 30 November and 1 December. It will not impact on school activities and school will continue as normal.
