St Vincent de Paul Appeal
Yesterday our Student Council donated Christmas gifts to Wexford Hospital, spreading festive cheer to patients and staff.
At the Carol Service, Molly and Maria also presented Brian McGonagle with a cheque in support of St Vincent de Paul.
We’re incredibly proud of the generosity and community spirit shown by our students this Christmas

Christmas Carols Service
Yesterday we celebrated our annual Christmas Carols service with our school chaplain, Father Jim Feagan. It was a joyful and reflective occasion that brought our school community together in the true spirit of the season. Continuing a much-loved and long-standing tradition, the service concluded with Father Jim leading us in a spirited rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas, filling the space with laughter, music, and festive cheer.
Soccer
Loreto Wexford made it two wins from two in the Senior Division 1 League on Tuesday with a hard-fought victory over St. Mary’s Arklow.
Lucy McCormack opened the scoring in the first half, giving Loreto a well-deserved lead. However, St. Mary’s responded strongly and equalised just before the halftime whistle. The second half produced end-to-end action, but it was Alexa Clancy who broke the deadlock, expertly curling a shot into the top corner to secure the win for Loreto Wexford.
The Senior Team now head into the Christmas break on the back of two excellent victories. Well done to all involved.

Camogie
Hard luck to our senior camogie team who bowed out to a very strong Presentation Kilkenny side yesterday in the Leinster semi-final after a tough, hard-fought match.
A massive well done to all the girls for their incredible hard work, commitment and dedication throughout the year. Reaching a Leinster semi-final is a huge achievement and one to be very proud of.
A special word of thanks to our sixth year players who have shown outstanding dedication and commitment to the team over the past six years.

A Festive Day Out for Transition Year Students
On the 12th of December, Transition Year students enjoyed an exciting and festive day filled with music, generosity, and fun. The day began with students carol singing at Tesco, spreading Christmas cheer to shoppers while raising an impressive €347 for St. Vincent de Paul. This fundraising effort was a great success and showed the students’ commitment to helping those in need during the Christmas season.
After the carol singing, students were given 45 minutes to enjoy their lunch and relax before the next activity. The day concluded with a trip to the ice rink, where then everyone spent 45 minutes ice skating. This activity was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was a great way to end a busy and enjoyable day.
Overall, the day was a memorable experience for Transition Year students, combining community spirit, festive fun, and time spent together outside the classroom

Christmas Market
On Saturday last, we held the annual Wexford Schools Christmas Market and it was a resounding success, with many transition year students displaying and selling products they have successfully set up as mini companies this year. We wish to thank members of the public who visited the school and bought products and also the teachers for organising this wonderful event. More photos available on our Facebook page.

Sixth Year Show
We had an amazing time hosting our annual sixth Year Show this year, proudly raising money for SVP. With a fun sleepover theme, the morning was filled with laughter, creativity and unforgettable performances. From start to finish, the energy was incredible and it was clear that every student thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a special event.
A huge well done to everyone involved.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Numeracy Puzzle Competition
The Twelve Days of Christmas Numeracy Puzzle Competition concluded yesterday. Congratulations to the overall winner Imen Saadi and to the two runners-up, Jenna Delaney and Sarah Walsh. Well done girls and enjoy your prizes!

TY Carol Service
Well done to all the Transition Year students involved in the carol singing on Friday. Although it lasted only one hour before ice skating, the girls sang with festive cheer and raised an impressive €347.85 in that short time. This is a wonderful contribution to St. Vincent de Paul as we head into the Christmas season. Well done to everyone involved.
