News round up

  • The results of mock examinations will be issued to students over the coming week or so as marked scripts are returned to the school. Once all results are available a detailed school report will be posted home in respect of 3rd and 6th year students.
  • Members of the Board of Management attended two meetings on the site of our new school within the last week.

The first meeting was to mark the “topping out” i.e. the reaching of the highest point in the building. This event was also attended by representatives of the NDFA, Carillion Construction, Sammon Construction and the Department of Education and Skills. Minister of State Paul Kehoe T.D. performed the ceremonial laying of the brick at the highest point.

Three days later the school was represented at a detailed site meeting where many aspects of the construction and management of the new school were discussed. It is a pleasure to report that the schedule of work is on target for completion in November 2017.
