Equestrian

Our novice equestrian team returns victorious from the Equestrian Interschools Ireland league final, securing the national title for the third year in a row! Our open team also excelled, finishing just 1 point off the top and qualifying for Balmoral Show. Congrats to all!

Soccer

Loreto Wexford defeated Loreto Kilkenny yesterday to win the Regional Championship & advance to the Leinster Semi-Final. A strong defense kept Kilkenny scoreless before Amy Hatchell’s breakthrough goal. Two more from Mia Wright secured the win

Senior Camogie

Our Senior A team had two tough matches on Monday, losing to Scoil Mhuire and The Royal School Armagh. Martha Martin Santos scored a lovely goal against The Royal School Armagh. They fought hard Tuesday, losing 3-0 to Mount Anville and 2-1 to Salerno, with Josefa Ewe scoring in her final match. Huge thanks to Zoe Wildes, Lilly Murray, Marta Martins Santos & Josefa Ewe in their last game for Loreto. Well done, girls!

Rugby

Congratulations to Wexford Wanderers who won the under-19 Leinster League with plenty of Loreto representatives on the panel.

Prefects & Meithea

Prefects & Meitheal leaders attended the Leadership Forum in Presentation Secondary School on Friday. They engaged in discussions on leadership skills & shared their own experiences with other student leaders. A fantastic day was had by everyone who attended and thank you to the organisers

LCA Hotel, Catering and Tourism

Well done to our LCA Hotel, Catering and Tourism students who completed their mock practical exams today. Fantastic skills and creativity demonstrated by all.

First Year Self Defense

Transition Year Coffee Morning

Our Transition Year students are hosting a coffee morning, bake sale & raffle for Childhood Cancer Ireland in memory of Naomi Howlin. Funds will help create a teen treatment room at Wexford General Hospital. Join us at The Garden Cafe, Rosslare Harbour, Sat April 26, 11am-3pm.

Siansa Gael Linn National Finals

Huge congratulations to four of our students from Stranach, who placed third in the Siansa Gael Linn National Finals last weekend: Róisín Wall (Transition Year), Florence Donohue, Gracie Cunningham, Ciara Colfer (Fifth Year), and Lilly Kelly (Sixth Year). Well done!

TY NUI Maynooth Trip

On Tuesday our Transition Year students visited NUI Maynooth for a school tour organised by the Guidance Department. They attended an informative lecture on the university’s offerings before exploring the campus on a guided tour led by student ambassadors.

6th Year Religion

Our sixth year exam Religion class attended mass on Tuesday in the Pugin Chapel, celebrated by Bishop Ger Nash, for all students studying exam Religion in the Ferns Diocese.

Students’ Council

Students’ council were busy last week for daffodil day. Not only did they sell pins and ribbons but they also organised a bake sale to raise money for the Irish cancer society. They raised a total of €488.41 for the charity. It was a really good day, and all the girls should be proud of all the work they have done!
