Ski Trip

45 2^nd and 3^rd year students, accompanied by 7 teachers, will head to Lavarone, Italy for a week long ski trip, departing on Monday, 12 February 2018. We extend our best wishes to all for a safe and enjoyable trip.

Sport

School Show Jumping – by Sara Doran

Since the beginning of the school year, the novice team have been to numerous school show jumping competitions and are currently top of the league table. We were out again on Sunday, 21 January and the school had the following results:

Flora Doran and Taylor Peare were 1st in the school novice team of Loreto and St. Mary’s mixed

Eimear Jackman was 2nd in the individual 1.10m jumping competition

Meabh Byrne, Alanah Leacy, Eimear Jackman and Ciara Banville just missed out on a placing in the open team

Camogie

Congratulations to Clodagh Jackman, 6th year student, who made her debut with the Wexford Senior Camogie team on 13 January. Wexford beat Tipperary 3.10 to 2.12 with Clodagh playing as corner back.

New subjects

Arising from the work of the School Planning Group, we are pleased to confirm that 3 new subjects – Technology, Technical Graphics and Spanish – have been added to the school’s curriculum with effect from 1^st year, September 2018.
