Welcome Back:

As we being this short term, we welcome back all staff and students after the Christmas break. We wish all members of the Loreto community a Happy New Year.

Our Senior A camogie team compete in the Leinster final tomorrow, Saturday, 11 January at midday. The match will take place in Bunclody. We wish the squad and their management team of Mr. Crowdle, Ms. N. Kelly and Mr. E. Cummins the very best of luck as they take on Loreto, Kilkenny. We hope that as many parents and students can come to support the team.

Music

On Tuesday we welcomed Karen Ni Bhroin to Loreto. A successful music conductor from Ferns, Karen has cultivated a thriving and exciting career in the Music Industry.

She began by facilitating a traditional music session with our talented students & gave a talk to our TY’s & music students about her career, setting goals, overcoming setbacks & how ‘what’s for you, won’t pass you by.’ We appreciated the motivational message & tips from Karen!

There are a number of important events coming up shortly. All of these have been put together in an important letter to families, available here.

Mock Examinations

Leaving Certificate Mock exams will begin on Tuesday the 4th of Feb for 6th years with the exception of French and German (Written and Aural ) which will take place on Friday the 31st January

Junior Cycle exams will begin on Thursday the 6th of February with the exception of Music which will take place on Wednesday afternoon, 5th of February.

LCA Mock exams will take place from Tuesday the 11th until Thursday the 13th of February.
