We congratulate Hanin (5th Year) on obtaining second place in a national arts competition organised by the Immigrant Council of Ireland. Her poem ‘Being a Hijabi’ was selected from the many entries. This week, Hanin was presented with her prizes by Marton Bisztrai from the Immigrant Council. Well done, Hanin!

The school has enjoyed a successful week in various competitions.

  • Our Senior A Hockey team were crowned League champions following a 4 – 0 victory over St Leo’s College. Not to be outdone, the first-year team also beat St. Leo’s on a 3 – 0 scoreline.

  • We congratulate all teams and thank their coaches and mentors for giving up their time so freely with all groups.

Our 1st Year students have been busy inside and outside of the classroom. On Wednesday, 4 December they had a Science Trip to Explorium in Dublin. Two days later, the group were in Leisure Max for a fun day following the exams.

Our annual 6th Year Wellbeing Day was a great success. Throughout the day, students attended workshops on drumming, dancing, yoga, reflexology, art therapy and sound baths. The theme of the day was ‘balance’ and this was reinforced by a group assembly with Peader Maxwell, Psychology Manager of Wexford Psychology Services.
