Daffodils2

Friday, 11 March 2016 is a busy day in the school. Daffodil Day will be marked by a special staff “elevenses” in support of the Irish Cancer Society. 5th year students are organising a Movie Day for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students in support of the fundraising campaign to send two students on the Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in May.

Mock interviews will be held for all Transition Year students in the school on Monday evening, 14 March 2016. This is a most beneficial exercise as it helps students to understand what is expected in a formal interview situation.

The school is very appreciative of the work of Ms. Kelly and Ms. Foley (Guidance Counsellors), Barbara Foley (Parents’ Council) and the 38 volunteer interviewers who give so generously of their time.

Students and staff will join schools nationwide at 12 noon on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 to mark Proclamation Day.

The school will close for the Easter holiday on Wednesday, 16 March 2016 and will re-open on Monday, 4 April 2016.

We extend best wishes for a safe and enjoyable trip to Transition Year students and their teachers who are travelling to Rome for four days beginning in the very early hours of Thursday, 17 March 2016. The group will visit the Colosseum, Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, the Catacombs, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and also the Smash Artena Roma Nord (paintball) and the Parco Leonardo Shopping Centre.

Quite a trip!
