Rotary Interact:
On Friday, 26 January, Loreto received the Rotary charter certification. This was presented by members of the Rotary Club. We congratulate all students involved and Ms. Culleton for coordinating the initiative.
Subject Choice:
Thank you to all who attended our Subject Choice talks last Monday. We remind all 1st and 4th year students that choices need to be submitted through VS Ware before Tuesday, 6 February.
German Exchange:
Alongside students from Wexford CBS, our German exchange students are having a wonderful time in Villingen. Over the course of the week, the students will immerse themselves in the German language and participate in various activities with their hosts. We extend our thanks to Ms. Nolan and Ms. Zimmermann for accompanying the group.
LCA General Education Task:
We wish the LCA 1 class all the best as they are interviewed as part of their General Education Task. This is the first such exam for the group and is the culmination of a superb first session. Well done to all.
Junk Kouture:
After hours of work, the final Junk Kouture dresses have been made. Congratulations to all involved in designing, creating and modelling the finished products.
Sports Updates:
- Congratulations to all who represented the school in athletics recently. In particular, we congratulate Aoife Walsh who won silver in the South Leinster Cross country finals in Carlow
- Well done to all first years who took part in an in-house blitz organised by Mr. Cummins, Mr. Broderick and Mr. Roche.
- Our minor camogie team secured and impressive 8-7 to 6-8 victory over St. Mary’s, New Ross. Despite difficult conditions, there was plenty of skilled performances. We thank Mr. Crowdle and Mr. Dunne for working with the team.
