5th Year Barcelona Trip
Yesterday, our fifth year Spanish students set off on their exciting cultural adventure to beautiful Barcelona.
Day one was filled with incredible experiences, beginning with a visit to the iconic La Sagrada Familia. This was followed by a panoramic tour of the city, where students explored some of Barcelona’s most famous landmarks, including Casa Batlló, Montjuïc, and the Olympic Stadium.
A fantastic start to what promises to be a memorable trip.

Peer to Peer Learning Week

Hockey
The senior hockey team played their first league match yesterday against St. Leo’s, Carlow. The girls delivered an excellent performance, securing a 3–1 victory with goals from Millie Stone, Ciara Murphy, and Jenna Delaney. A fantastic result and a very promising start to the league — well done, girls!

Our Junior B hockey team playing St Leo’s, Carlow at home on Monday. The girls showed a great display of skills but unfortunately lost out to a strong Leo’s team. Well done girls on a great match.

Golf
Anna Isdell, first year, and Louise Duggan, third year, took part in the Leinster Schools Nine-Hole Golf Competition in Courtown last week. The girls had a fantastic day, with Louise winning the competition and Anna finishing in second place. Well done, girls!

Football
A big well done to our Senior football team who had a comprehensive win on Wednesday vs St. Mary’s Arklow in the final round of their Leinster championship group stage.
Unfortunately, due to a loss in our first-round game, the girls will not advance to the knockout stages of the competition.
A big thank you to the girls for their commitment and dedication this year. A special mention to our Sixth Years who played their final Ladies’ Football game for the school today – they have been a pleasure to deal with over the past six years, and it was great to see them out with a win!

Camogie
Well done to our Junior Camogie team on a great win today against Mercy New Ross. It was a tight and hard-fought match, but the girls showed great determination and dug deep to secure the victory. A brilliant performance – well done to all!

Also well done to our Senior Camogie team who played their first championship match on Monday against Gorey Community School. It was a tightly contested game, but after a tough battle, the girls dug deep and came away with a well-deserved win. A great start to the campaign – well done to all involved!
