Open Night
Our Open Night will take place on Thursday, 24 September from 5pm to 7pm. All 5th and 6th class students and parents are invited to attend. For more information regarding our admissions policy, please see our school website https://loretowexford.com/
Attendance Drive
We have now completed week two of our Attendance Drive. Our 6th year, Transition Year, and 3rd year students are closely competing, with only a percentage difference among them, and they are just 2% behind our leading group, the 1st years. With such narrow margins separating our base classes, every school day counts!!

We would like to remind parents and guardians to download our VSware app to easily submit absence requests. Detailed instructions on using this feature can be found here.
Thank you for your continued support in promoting attendance.
Inclusion Committee
First Meeting of Term, 14/09/26:

We were delighted to welcome back 17 student members of the Inclusion Committee this year along with four teachers. Our first order of business was to elect a secretary. Akira Rose nominated Saheli Moodley and this was seconded by Rylee Milliken. Many thanks to Saheli for taking on this important role.
We hope to attract new 1st year members to the Inclusion Committee at the school’s Clubs & Socs Event on Thursday 24th September. Nissrine El Hussein & Vivienne Moran will run this stand. They will be helped on the Open Night that evening by Maya Saad, Anna O’ Connor, Shaeli Moodley, Akira Rose & Kiara Lacey. The students will inform potential students and parents about the important work of the Inclusion Committee.
We hope to set up our Welcome Committee again this year. Students who speak a language other than English are invited to put their names forward to give new students who join us a tour of the school in their native tongue. The more languages we have, the better and you do not have to join the Inclusion Committee to be a member of the Welcome Committee.
We are delighted to announce that our School of Sanctuary Ambassadors this year are:
– Vivienne Moran, 5th year
– Nissrine El Hussein, 5th year
– Akira Rose, 5th year
The girls follow in the footsteps of our previous ambassadors Haya Al Kasem, Yosra El Hussein and Isha Amodu who graduated in June and did a wonderful job representing Loreto as a Champion School of Sanctuary.
We decided on dates for our events this year:
- November: LGBTQ+ Stand Up Week: 2nd – 6th Nov
- March: Multicultural Week- Mon 8th March (incorporate International Women’s Day)
- Last term: Neurodivergence Awareness, Wed 5th May
We would love to welcome new members to our group. Please come along to our next meeting on 14th October if you would like to get involved.
2.1 completed a fantastic piece of Geography homework!
They were learning all about the atmosphere, exploring the different layers and discovering what happens in each one. This work links in with our wider topic of Weather and Climate, and the students have done a fantastic job demonstrating their understanding and creativity.

2.2 also completed a fantastic piece of work for Geography!
They were learning about the atmosphere and what happens in each of the layers. The overall topic is Weather and Climate. Great work done in 2.2!
