A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers and students who contributed to the success of our 4th Open Night. The feedback from parents and students has been exceptional, reflecting the incredible hard work that went into this event over the past few weeks.

We had a fantastic Clubs and Socs afternoon today, with vibrant stalls, great energy, and huge student interest across all activities.

It was brilliant to see so many sign‑ups and such enthusiasm for getting involved. Well done to all those who put such great time and effort into running a stall, your work made the event a real success.

Last Friday, Ms Kelly’s two 3rd Year Spanish classes organised a delicious Spanish breakfast. Each group prepared a typical Spanish dish and everyone had the opportunity to try new flavours and discover more about the traditional cuisine of Spain. It was a fun, delicious and learning-filled morning! Congratulations to all the groups for your fantastic work.

Well done to 1st Year student, Annie Stafford who placed third at the first Equestrian Interschools Ireland show of the year in Tinahely.

Special mention to Lily Kelly who also competed on the day. A fantastic start to the year. Well done to all involved!

Our Transition Years enjoyed a wonderful retreat to Our Lady’s Island on Friday. A beautiful day of reflection, connection and community, shared together.

With only days separating our 1st, TY and 6th Years, the standings can shift dramatically in just a week. It’s exciting to see how just one day can significantly impact scores. Remember every day matters!

The winning year group will be rewarded with a fantastic afternoon of activities before the midterm break. And let’s not forget the winning base class – get ready for a pizza party!

Plus, for those with perfect attendance, you’ll be entered into a raffle for vouchers and other exciting prizes.

We have only 4 weeks of this attendance block left, so make every day count!

Our school library is reopening today – Friday 25th!

You can now borrow books during the second half of lunch. We’ve added lots of exciting new titles, including the latest heartstopper, as well as new History and Physics books, curated by Mr Goff and Mr Kilbride.

So, there’s never been a better time to get back into the reading habit. Happy reading!!

A huge congratulations to our Loreto students who were part of the St Ibar’s Shelmaliers under-16 camogie team on their fantastic victory in the under-16 premier county camogie final against Rathnure!
