Lunchtime Club – a report by Ms. M. Jordan

Every Monday and Tuesday a small group of students meet to play board games in the main Learning Support Room on the top floor. This club is for students who prefer to spend time in a quieter environment and it takes place during the second half of lunch so students have plenty of time to eat their lunch. There are many board games played such as Scrabble, Monopoly, Guess Who and Connect 4. The clubs create a fun, safe, relaxed and secure environment where students can socialise.

Students are invited to call up to the LS Room any Monday or Tuesday from 1.30pm if they are interested. New members are always welcome!

Tramore Trip/ Turas Tonnmharcaíochta – rang Gaeilge Ms. Carroll

Thángamar ar scoil  go moch ar maidin 11 Meán Fomhair,  timpeall 8:10rn. Níorbh fhada gur tháinig na busanna. Bhíomar ag caint agus ag cabaireacht lena chéile. Bhí atmaisféar iontach ann.

Thugamar aghaidh ar an Trá Mhór ag fiche tar éis a hocht. Chuaigh céad daltaí agus seachtar múinteoirí ar an turas.

Léimeamar as an mbus agus bhí an aimsir ceomhar ach tirim.

Cuireadh sinn i dtrí ghrúpa. Chuaigh an chéad ghrúpa ar siúlóid treoraithe agus chuaigh an dara ghrúpa isteach san uisce. D’imigh an triú ghrúpa chuig an trá chun cluichí a imirt.

D’itheamar-lón agus fuaireamar ár gculatacha uisce ach faraor bhí siad deacair iad a chur orainn.

Mhúin fear amháin dúinn, darbh ainm Cormac, na curamaí sábháilteacht don tonnmharcaíocht. Bhíomar go léir ag pocléim le háthas.

Bhí sé gaofar agus agus bhí na tonnta mór. Ba mhór an spórt a bhí ann.

Ar dtús bhí an tonnmharcaíocht deacair ach tar éis tamaill bhíomar in ann seasamh ar an gclár.

Bhí radharcanna áille ar an turas agus bhí na cluíchí lán le spraoi.

D’fhilleamar abhaile agus shroicheamar an scoil ag a cúig a chlog. Ní raibh insint béil ar an spraoi a bhí againn go léir agus tá muid an bhuíochasach do na múinteoirí a d’eagraigh é.
