Leaving Certificate Oral Examinations:
We extend our best wishes to the Leaving Certificate group as they sit their oral exams between Saturday, 23 March and Thursday, 28 March. Students will take exams in Gaeilge, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Lithuanian, Italian and Polish.
Rugby Final:
After an intense and nail-biting match against Loreto College, Mullingar, the senior rugby Leinster final ended in a draw, with a replay scheduled for after Easter. With only ten minutes left, the team showed grit and determination to come from 20 – 10 behind to earn a draw on a final scoreline of 20 – 20.


LCA Update:
With the end of the year approaching, the class re involved in various key assignments and tasks. Presently, they are working on their Vocational Preparation task and, after Easter, will be working on the Hotel, Tourism and Catering assignment.
As part of their Hair and Beauty course, the students had a demonstration from past pupil Eve Scallan on how to carry out a manicure. We thank Eve for coming back to help!



Sporting Updates:
- Congratulations to our equestrian team as they won the Novice League for the third year in a row. Well done to all students who competed throughout the year and we extend our best wishes to teams competing in the Interschools Ireland league final in Kildare on Saturday, 23 March. We thank Mr. Grace and Ms. Martin for their involvement.

- Our minor soccer team recorded a narrow 3 – 2 victory over Presentation, Kilkenny to advance to the regional final. Laragh Walsh and Emma Mc Eldowney scored the crucial goals. We thanks Mr. Usher, Ms. Sweetman and Mr. Keating for their work with the soccer teams so far this year.

- Well done to all involved in the various hockey teams this year. Our second year team were runners-up in the league after a narrow defeat to Loreto, Kilkenny. Our first year A and C teams also finished up on the wrong side of results despite some strong performances throughout. We thank Ms. Mullen, Ms. Kennedy and Ms. O’ Keeffe for their time and commitment in mentoring all of the groups over the year.



- Congratulations to our 1st year footballers on their progression to the final of the LGFA 1st year competition. This week, they defeated Presentation, Wexford to book their spot in the final. This final will take place on Saturday, 13 April. We thank Mr. E. Cummins and Mr. Broderick for their time with the groups.


- Hard luck to our senior soccer team who lost the shield semi-final against Borris VS last week, 2-1
