Commiserations to our under-16 #LGFA footballers who lost out to Coláiste Bhríde Carnew team in the Leinster championship on Wednesday. The girls have their final group game versus Presentation Wexford to look forward to in a couple of weeks’ time. #GAA #WomenInSportIRE

Green School’s Committee

The Green School’s Committee, the Justice & Peace group & interested students attended the #WorkInWind Conference at the Amber Springs in Gorey. They visited displays & chatted to companies in the industry. #WomenInSTEM #STEM #Guidance

TY Retreat

The Transition Year students enjoyed their retreat and team building day in Our Lady’s Island. They played games, wrote reflective journals and had a lovely meditation. A great day was had by all!

German Exchange

Last week, we welcomed our German exchange students from Schwarzwald. During the week they had the opportunity to experience traditional Irish dancing & sports at Loreto. Our German exchange students learned about Irish culture and history with a trip to Johnstown Castle and the Heritage Park as well as a visit to Hook Lighthouse.

Clara Donnelly

Congratulations to Clara Donnelly who was named at midfield on the #TG4 Intermediate LGFA Team of the Championship. Clara won a Leinster senior-B title with Loreto in 2009. #LGFA #WomenInSportIRE

Blazing Sky

Congratulations to our past and present students of Loreto who were part of the choir who sang the evocative song Blazing Sky composed by Wexford native Liam Bates. Present students involved include: Isabella Caulfield, Aoibh Cleary, Emma Daly from 6th year and Síle Roe, Esmé McKiernan Becker, Madison Margolin and Maeve Murphy from 5th year. Past pupils include: Hannah Devereux, Caitlin Carty, Grace Rossiter, Emma O Leary.
