German exchange
34 Loreto students depart for the annual school exchange in Villingen, Germany on Friday, 3 February accompanied by Ms. Zimmermann and Ms. Browne. The group will also be joined by 6 students and a teacher from Wexford C.B.S.
In the course of the week, the group will attend classes and activities in our host school and will undertake trips to Feldberg, Schwenningen, Freiburg and the Franziskaner Museum.
The group returns to Dublin Airport at 24.00 on Friday, 10 February.
The school is very grateful to the organising teachers both in Wexford and Germany and expresses the hope that the trip will be enjoyed by all.
Mock examinations
The school extends its best wishes to its 3rd and 6th year students who will take their mock examinations in the fortnight beginning on Monday, 6 February.

Loreto Wexford’s u16 ‘B’ footballers took on Coláiste Bríde, Carnew in Carnew on Thursday, 19 January in the Leinster quarter final.
Loreto started the brighter and Kathlynn Gabbett-Kehoe was in brilliant form scoring 1-2 in the opening 5 minutes.
Loreto defended well but when Carnew were awarded a penalty in the 18th minute, they were right back in the game. The initial shot was saved by Zara Power but the centre forward made no mistake with the rebound.
Molly Doyle added a point after hard work by the Loreto forwards. Coláiste Bríde responded with a point to leave the score at 1-3 to 1-1 at the break.
The teams exchanged goals in the opening 5 minutes, which set us up for a very exciting second half.
Loreto worked very hard but just could not get the scores. Coláiste Bríde took their scores and outscored Loreto by 3-5 to 1-1 in the next 20 minutes.
Coláiste Bríde added another goal to seal the victory. Loreto did add a point through Kathlynn Gabbett Kehoe before the final whistle but it was too little too late.
Coláiste Bríde now advance to the Leinster semi-final v Presentation Kilkenny.
