Wexford Schools Unite for a Festive Cause: Second Annual Christmas Market Set to Spark Joy

Loreto Secondary School in Wexford Town gears up to host the eagerly awaited Wexford Schools’ Christmas Market on December 9th, from 11am to 2pm.

The halls of Loreto Secondary School will be transformed into a bustling hub of festive cheer as students from Loreto and neighbouring schools showcase their entrepreneurial prowess at the second annual Wexford Schools’ Christmas Market. With the spirit of giving in the air, the event aims to spread joy while supporting a noble cause, as all donations garnered will be directed to the Wexford Women’s Refuge.

Young minds from Loreto and various schools in the region have been fervently crafting and honing their products through Enterprise and Mini Company classes. From handcrafted ornaments to delectable homemade treats, visitors will have a diverse array of unique and locally made items to peruse and purchase, perfect for crossing off those names on the Christmas list.

“This market isn’t just about the products; it’s about fostering a spirit of community and supporting our budding entrepreneurs,” remarked Loreto teacher, Cathleen Skelton. “It’s heartening to see our students and those from neighbouring schools coming together to showcase their creativity and dedication.”

The event offers a dual opportunity for attendees—to accomplish their Christmas shopping while championing local enterprise and the endeavours of young, ambitious students. The festive ambiance, coupled with the knowledge that a raffle, profits from a refreshments stall and students entry to the event all contribute to aiding the Wexford Women’s Refuge, promises a meaningful shopping experience for all.

Mark your calendars for December 9th and join the celebration at Loreto Secondary School, where the magic of the season meets the enthusiasm and innovation of aspiring young minds.
