School news in brief

  • All 1st year parents are invited to a Cheese and Wine Reception in the school at 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 October organised by the Parents’ Council. This informal gathering gives parents the opportunity to meet each other and to get to know some members of the Parents’ Council.
  • The school’s Board of Management meets on Wednesday, 12 October at 4.30 p.m.
  • Transition Year students have a nice trip to look forward to on Wednesday next when they travel to Dublin to see the stage production of “The Commitments”.
  • Following the recent completion of staff, student and parent surveys, the School Self-Evaluation Group is currently writing up reports on the outcomes. These will be shared with all stakeholders before the compilation of a written plan that will contain agreed actions between now and 31 August 2020. When completed within the next few weeks, this plan will be placed on the school website and all families will be alerted as to its presence there.
