14th Nov 2025

Yesterday marked the sixth week of our Le Chéile initiative. Guests continued to work with clay and play cards. Thank you to all who volunteered and attended.

Timetables for the November exams are now available here. Please pay particular attention to the timeslots, location and dates of each exam.

Day 2, Part 1

Our fifth and sixth year students are continuing their Italian adventure. They enjoyed a coffee roasting and tasting experience, followed by a visit to a honey and marmalade farm. They are having a fabulous time exploring local flavours and traditions. To finish the day, the group is heading to a cookery school where the girls will make gnocchi.

Day 2, Part 2

Our fifth- and sixth-year Home Economics students are having an amazing time on their Italian adventure! Today, the girls visited an olive oil factory and enjoyed tasting a variety of delicious oils. To wrap up the day, we rolled up our sleeves at Mama Lucia’s Cookery School and made our very own gnocchi — delizioso!

Day 3 – This morning the fifth and sixth year Home Economics students visited a farm to see how mozzarella is made. They watched the cheese-making process in action and enjoyed tasting fresh mozzarella with tomatoes. Later, they visited a gelateria where they helped make lemon gelato.

Congratulations to Kayla Peters (2.1) and Sophie Stafford (2.2) — our star bakers! Ms. Jordan will be presenting your vouchers next week.

A special mention also goes to Isabelle Andrew (2.3) for her beautifully presented cupcakes — they looked absolutely stunning!

Many thanks to our wonderful judges, Maria, Mr. Mullen, and Mr. Cummins, who took their roles very seriously — carefully considering taste, texture, and presentation in every entry.

Well done to everyone who took part — your creativity and effort made this event a huge success!
