Loreto gives back through LCVP Charity Campaign – report by Paula Power and Grainne Stamp

Ms. Skelton’s 5th year LCVP class organized a food and toy appeal for the Wexford St. Vincent De Paul Branch.

A great number of donations of non-perishable foods and goods were collected in decorated boxes in the GP area throughout the month of November.

Through generous donations from both the staff and student bodies, nearly €300 was collected towards the toy appeal, which the class went and used in purchasing as many toys/books as they could on Friday, 10 December. This was a very enjoyable experience and felt great to be giving back to the local community.

All the non-perishable foods and the toys bought will be going to the St. Vincent De Paul charity who will then distribute to families in need this Christmas.

Thank you to all who contributed.
