All Ireland Schools Athletics Finals

On Saturday, 3 June, three Loreto students will compete in the All Ireland Schools Athletics Final.   The girls had to qualify through South Leinster and then Leinster by finishing in the top three in their events.   Aisling Kelly, 2nd year, will compete in the Junior Long Jump.  Meave Hayes, 3rd Year, will compete in the Intermediate High Jump.  Amy Forde, 5th Year, will compete in the Senior Hammer.  We wish the girls every success this weekend.

Choral and Dance Competition

The 1st Year annual Choral and Dance competition took place recently in school. Each year the 1st year classes choose their own music to sing and dance to and are then assessed by staff and student representatives.

The standard of performance was very high again this year but the overall winner was 1.3 with their dance to “We Go Together” from Grease.

Ms. Walton would like to congratulate all classes for their commitment to this project.

State Examinations

The school extends its best wishes to students who will be sitting their Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations from 7 to 23 June.
