Wexford Student Enterprise Awards 
Congratulations to Kayla Peters, first year, who won the overall Junior Enterprise category.  Kayla will represent Wexford at the National Finals in Mullingar in May with her mini-company Crocheted Crafts. 
Congratulations also to our four Transition Year mini company groups who interviewed at County Hall recently. Ceird Coille, who created wooden crafts with Irish seanfhocail were also successful on the night winning a Merit Award for their entrepreneurship. 
The team comprised of three members; Aoife Kehoe, Ruth Redmond and Isabel Ryan. Thank you to all our Transition Year students who participated with enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit throughout the student enterprise programme this year.

Camogie 

A fantastic performance from our under-14 camogie team as they secured a strong win against Gorey Community School! Final Score: Loreto Wexford 5-8 (23) Gorey CS 0-8 (8)

Also a huge congratulations to our first year camogie team on their fantastic win against Coláiste Bríde, Enniscorthy! With a brilliant team performance, we are now through to the semi-final of the first year competition! Well done to all the players and coaches—keep up the hard work

First Year Home Ec 

Our 1st Years have been busy in Home Ec, whipping up delicious and nutritious meals! They made Wholemeal French Toast with Homemade Berry Coulis and a Creamy Chicken Pasta Salad—perfect for healthy breakfasts & lunches. #HealthyEating #HomeEc 
 

First years also designed and made spring themed bunting as part of their craft module. 

Equestrian 

Loreto Equestrian team had a great few weeks. In Kildare, our open team won, and our novice team placed third. In Wexford Equestrian, our open team won again, with our novice teams taking first and third. A strong position for the league final—well done all

Hockey 

Best wishes to our senior-A hockey team who will travel to Cork to take part in the Daphne Hall Cup All-Irelands. The team qualified by winning the Senior A league in January. The tournament will take place on the 31st March and the 1st of April. Well done girls!  

Cross Country 

Huge congrats to the Loreto Wexford Cross Country team on finishing 8th overall at the All Ireland in Galway!

  • Saoirse Drumm – 77th

Green Schools 

Well done to Yosra El Hussein & Christina Molloy who presented on behalf of the Green Schools Team at the Care for the Earth event which took place in Whites Hotel last week. The two presented on the recent actions carried out by the Green Schools Team & outlined upcoming plan

Thanks to Aine from Concern for coming into our Transition Years and Green Schools’ Committee and giving amazing and informative workshops about gender equality and global SDGs. s 

Gymnastics 

We’re thrilled to share that Elise En Yi Lau, a first-year student, represented Ireland at FIAC 2025 in Belgium last week! She delivered two impressive routines in Dynamic and Balance. Congrats, Elise, on this fantastic achievement and representation! 

Music Trip 

On Wednesday, March 12, the fifth- and sixth-year Music classes attended the musical Chicago at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin, accompanied by Ms. Walton and Ms. Dooley. What a fantastic show it was! A great time was had by all. 

Agricultural Science 

Yesterday the Agricultural Science students had an exciting and informative visit to Teagasc Kildalton College, organised by @agriaware. The students gained valuable hands-on experience in various areas of agriculture, including horticulture, equine, tillage, beef, soil management, dairy, sheep and farm safety. It was a fantastic opportunity to deepen their knowledge and connect theory with practice. 

Today FM Big Busk for Focus Ireland

Congratulations to Ayda Whyte Weaver (5th Year)! She performed at the Today FM Big Busk for Focus Ireland in Dundrum Shopping Centre, raising €250 to support those experiencing homelessness. Well done, Ayda, for using your talent for a great cause!

Dance Competition

Congratulation to all the third year classes who took part in the Annual Dance Competition on Friday. Class 3.2 were crowned the winners this year. All groups showed amazing group work, collaboration and dance skills throughout the last few weeks. Well done.
